Celebrate 'Chuck' star Yvonne Strahovski's birthday
Yvonne Strahovski, most known for playing Sarah Walker on NBC’s “Chuck,” turns 30 years old today (July 30)!
In 2005, Yvonne Strahovski landed the role of Freya Lewis in the Australian drama series “Headland.” She appeared in 33 episodes of the series.
The Australian actress then got her big break in 2007, when she was cast as CIA agent Sarah Walker on NBC’s “Chuck.” Sarah Walker became very popular very fast, due to a combination of Yvonne’s stunningly gorgeous looks and the character’s lovable tendencies, and, to many fans, Sarah’s romance with the titular character (played by the adorable Zachary Levi) is one of the best in TV history.
Come fall, catch Yvonne in Showtime’s “Dexter,” as she’s landed a recurring role on the hit drama!
Celebrate Yvonne Strahovski’s birthday by watching an episode of “Chuck.” Before that, though, be sure to check out the slideshow at the top of the page, which is composed of 50 photos of the beautiful actress.
Micheal C. Hall talks about the interaction between his and Yvonne's characters on Dexter.
"He, as a result, comes into contact with [Yvonne Strahovski's] character, Hannah McKay, and there's an immediate, unspoken sense-- not only about her, but that she seems to have about him. They are, from the first time they meet, circling each other, to a degree. Dexter is always someone who has been a magnet for chaos, and he finds it with her and what happens between them."
There was a tiny promo pic of Yvonne from that episode released the other week. I hope a bigger one will be out soon and it's nice to know for sure when she'll first appear on the show.
New recurring cast member Yvonne Strahovski remained fairly coy on her role on the show, saying we’d meet her character, Hannah McKay, in episode three and that “it’s safe to say that Hannah McKay has a dark past that is slowly revealed as the episodes go on. She meets Dexter because she’s helping the Miami police department on a case – a case that’s been around for awhile.”
Having finished up her five-year run on Chuck, Strahovski said joining Dexter so many years into its run was, “A little intimidating. It’s exhilarating. It’s really a privilege to be a part of this show with amazing actors. I’ve seen every single episode now and I continue to be amazed every single time. Now that I get to work with these guys, it’s a beautiful experience and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
I found this comment about Yvonne from Jennifer Carpenter in an interview with her. She has some nice things to say about Yvonne.
Yvonne Strahovsky joins the show this season. What can you reveal about her character? I don’t have any scenes with her yet but we will later on. She gets up in all of it. She comes in in the third episode. I watched that recently, and ooh, she’s good. She’s so good. There’s something like, you know how a flame burns and it looks so enticing and you can get so close to it and it still feels good, but if you put your hand in it, you get burned? That’s what her character sort of feels like. And she’s so much fun to have around. It’s so nice to have the girl energy around.
