If you're not already reading The Final Year from KHyeew you should try it out.

"Sarah Walker starts her last year at high school while Chuck Bartowski moves to Burbank to start his first day of his senior year at a new High school.Surprising Career opportunities for both come looking for them... Charah story of course." It's so god damn cute, I seriously love that story! :D

Have you read Chuck, Morgan and the New Spy's from the same author? If not he posted the first chapter of the sequal the other day and you should totally read the first one, it's number 4 on my list after SOM, Chuck vs Family Matters and Sarah vs The True Friendship.

KHyeew's Charah is so freaking adorable! :P

If anyone is interested here's my most recent story. It's a story about Chuck taking care of Sarah. Sort of a reverse of my story Warm, with a few elements of other stories of mine. Like that story, this story was written for a friend who has been sick.

More Than Enough
Immediately following a traumatic occurrence, Sarah finds herself dealing with another unpleasant situation. One-Shot.

Urgh, last chapter for Sarah_vs_The_True_Friendship got out today. :dnod:
My favorite together with SOM by far so it's pretty sad, I'm eager aswell to see how the story ends aswell though. :/

If you haven't tried out http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8252533/1/S ... s_the_Farm you should, the first three chapters have been really, really good.

I really like this story, a lot of backstory to start with but it's all really great. So you guys should try it out, one thing that for some may be bad is that both the two last chapters(4 and 5) have both been over 20 000 words.

What would you do if make believe showed up on your doorstep?

At the beach at the final moments of the last episode, they kiss as in the show but Sarah dissapears.. into our world.
Got many great laughs from the first chapter that got out tonight, cannot wait for the second chapter. :)

I think I'm gonna give up on reading a lot of fanfics like Sound of Music 2 and others. They are just getting too sappy and lovey-dovey for me

Haha, the direct opposite.
At the moment I'm pretty close to stop reading, I really have to push myself to read most of my favorite stories.

Certain elements in stories just ruins it for me and I get such a big turn off every damn time..

As a "writer" who has been working so hard on a story for so long it's quite depressing.

I'm kind of a "writer" if you can call it that :? I don't know, I kind of miss the old fics that had some great angst and storylines. Now almost every story seems to be like rainbows and frosty swirls ;) Even my story has gone that path and I'm still debating on how to get it back to the serious dramatic idea I originally had

Urgh, angst, the fluff is the nice stuff. ;)
Oh, you're going darker with your story?

I just hope that you aint planning on angst for angst sake. ;>

Wait, SoM2 not having a great storyline? Yes, that story is fairly light, but there is plenty going on. It's not just rainbows and frosty swirls Charah stuff.

Also, I do not agree with the idea that angst=good story. A story does not need to be angsty in order to be good. Conflict/drama can come from sources other than angst.

I'm not saying angst=a good story. Sound of Music is great and fun, which I applaud Quistie for writing. I just feel like ever since the end of Chuck and maybe a few months before it, all the fics have become light and fulffy without much going on except Chuck and Sarah together. There's almost no pure Chuck fanfics left. All of them are completely AU from them being in high school and there being no spy stuff at all to just throwing Chuck and Sarah into completely different plots. The parallels to the spy life have diminished over time with the fics, in my opinion

Re: OT: Fan Fiction Recommendations

Well I can see that there are less and less true Chuck fanfic if you'd go with the canon that would be modified, and instead shit loads of AU's etc. But when I've gone back and read older really popular ones they seem generally much more darker, and the shit that I'm seriously so damn tired off which I will give away in 2 seconds seemed much common earlier even if it still comes up and that's why I still get a turn off big enough to simply quit reading.

I'm so damn tired of having Sarah either had to been a whore for the CIA or in rare cases still have to do those missions. I swear that turn off is so damn big, I had a long discussion with one of the big ff-authors 2 days ago and that person felt the same about the matter. For me, no matter what you say I don't buy that Sarah had no self-respect and could go down on her knees or put her legs up in the air in 1 second. I have to much respect to the character Sarah and of course the actress behind to buy it, and geez, the Tv show Chuck wasn't so dark, I know that some may bring up pink split but don't bother since I still wont buy it so just waste of time.

And for people saying that if Sarah wouldn't care about hitting her knees, or putting her legs up absoutely wouldn't acting like a whore. I simply say, CIA pays her for doing her work, if that includes sleeping with mark - CIA is excatly like her pimp.

Just IMHO, so can't argue it away.

I know it may sound silly, but god I just hate it, especially when I have to read it in a story I've followed for a long time and it gets brought up. There's few ammount of authors, like three that I could perhaps consider still keep on reading since I'm 100 procent sure that it wont get brought up at all, if I quit that is.

I think we got too many post chuck finale fics already. Reading them is like reading novels, sometimes you dig it sometimes you don't. It's a learning experience both on the reader and writer, how odd it maybe. If the recent fics are not good enough for our taste, just grab a chick flick book or some contemporary romance and let our imagination envision the characters as chuck and sarah. I try to read every story uploaded, just giving it a chance if not I drop it. Spy and nerd, It's a wonderful cover life to name a few, is still as interesting as it was on the first chapter. As I've said before less than 20 chapters will be good enough to finish a story, otherwise milking it for what it's worth would be a stretch to keep it going. Better yet make an outline on what will happen each chapter, start from there, throw in every literary genius you have in you and FINISH the story.

Depends on the story, TIA's True Friendship had me as excited from chapter 1 to the last one, chapter 46. I'm really crazy about that story though. :)
