Aren't ratings kinda irrelevant for this show? Season 7 and 8 were already known to be the last two seasons of the show and were effectively guaranteed to happened, so isn't it irrelevant. Plus, the ratings for this show are going to naturally be lower. This is cable TV, not broadcast, so not everyone has the channel in order to watch the show on TV. You're simple not going to get the same kind of numbers for a cable show than you are for a broadcast show.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these ratings might actually be better than what they got for previous seasons. Also, ratings tend to be highest for premieres and finales, so the dip is normal.

I've been observing the reaction to Yvonne's Dexter appearance on You Tube and Twitter and the reaction to Yvonne has been overwhelmingly positive. This is extraordinary, because Dexter fans were not so kind to Julia Stiles 2 years ago. The You Tube videos with Yvonne are getting positive feedback in the 95-99% range. Amazing.

That's great! Even though I'm sure many of us Chucksters have been writing positive comments aswell, but it's hard not to like Yvonne, yeah? Yup. they will all come around. It's actually really extraordinary considering people tend to be jealous of/negative towards beautiful actresses. But I think people can genuinely tell that Yvonne is down-to-Earth and a nice person, even when she isn't playing a nice character.

Showtime has also posted the interview/preview clips with Yvonne on You Tube. The video has almost 99% positive feedback! Fantastic!

And for those interested in viewership numbers, I believe Dexter premiered to its biggest numbers yet, and though I'd have to look to find the article it was the number one most pirated show a year or so ago, and this past year was beaten out by only a few shows, like the highly buzzed and pirated Game of Thrones so whether or not the "official" numbers don't compare to network it's certainly a show with an audience.

I have no idea why, but it always reminds me of this opening/teaser scene from a Lois & Clark episode where Clark super-speed eats his breakfast.
