One look at the key art for the upcoming seventh season of Showtime's Dexter certainly points that way with Michael C. Hall's title character sporting the trademark slash across the cheek that is often the last thing his victims experience.
The new season, which picks up immediately after Dexter's foster sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) walks in to see someone she's about to profess her love to plunge a sword into Travis, last season's Big Bad.
Producers said in late July at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour that the timing of Deb finding out about Dexter's Dark Passenger made sense for the cop who has risen to become the top dog at Miami Metro.
"She stumbles upon it in the middle of her emotional override: not only does she love her foster brother but she's feeling she's in love with him. It's an emotional reason why she goes there and it's the last thing she expects to find in Dexter in one of his kills," executive producer Sara Colleton said of the plot point six seasons in the making, offering that it made the development more powerful than having Deb use her police skills to learn the truth about him.
Check out the full-size poster, below, and more images from the upcoming seventh season -- including Yvonne Strahovski, Ray Stevenson and Jason Gedrick. Dexter returns Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
It's definitely not Jennifer Carpenter because she is a brunette so I think you're right, unless their is another blonde on the show, but I'm only into season 4 of my catching up.
Just for fun, there is a poll on this Dexter site about which new character you're looking forward to the most and Yvonne's character is one of the options. Hannah/Yvonne is totally dominating the poll. She would still be winning if you combined all the votes for the other choices. (Go Yvonne!!! ) If you want to extend Yvonne's lead and vote, click the link below.
Grr! it infuriates me how everyone seems to be calling for Yvonne to do all sex scenes and get naked on camera. Can't these jerks have just a little more respect for women?
Me too, or when they bash her and her being on the show for no reason. Clearly none of these people have ever seen her work or they would know of her amazing talent. Obviously it seems they haven't learned any lessons in manners or respect either.
